GMO’S

A GMO is a genetically modified organism, this means that scientists take an organism and they change the genetic code of the organism. They go into the genetic code of G’s, C’s, T’s, and A’s and they change a set of them so the organism will grow differently than normal. There are a number of pros to GMO’s, for example they take a regular farm grown corn seed and they change the seed so it grows faster and has a built in pesticide. Also you could use GMO research to cure genetic diseases in children before they are born. Except there is one really big con to GMO’s, it can be considered playing god and we do not know the affects that will have on our society. In conclusion i personally think that GMO’s are a good thing for society but we need to know the full effects of the testing on our society and our future.
