We learned about and looked at the work of Vincent Van Gogh and used his famous panting “Starry Night” as inspiration for our own starry night collage. We discussed and viewed art that used many different materials to create a collage. I used pastels to create texture and studied how Van Gogh used little broken lines in his masterpiece and then created a dramatic affect to show foreground, middle ground and background.
