My artwork is painting of an artichoke cactus. It has a blue and purple background. It is called “artichoke gets revenge on a cactus and then it was painted and then it was on paper and submitted as a 7th grade art project.†I created my artwork using watercolors and white paint. I used the white paint to do the details. I used watercolor paper to be able to paint efficiently on the paper. I used a tiny brush for the white details. Finally, I used a big brush for the background. A big idea behind my artwork is that my field trip to a garden inspired my artwork. My desperate want to paint a cactus is why I did a cactus for this project. My personal issue that my artwork expresses is that I don’t have talent. This very much includes not being capable of artistic success. My goal for this artwork was to try to accurately represent an artichoke cactus. I don’t think I reached my goal because it doesn’t really look like an artichoke cactus. Honestly, I don’t think I created the artwork I wanted to. It doesn’t look like I had imagined. If I could do this again I probably wouldn’t put the white details on it. In the future I will work on my painting skills.
