Spring Concert is a Success For High School Music Program

Last Thursday night, the Groton-Dunstable Regional High School Music Program hosted its annual spring concert. The concert featured performances by our Concert Band, Chorus, Drum Corps, Jazz Band, and Chamber Chorus, showcasing all that GD Music has to offer.

By the end of the night, the music program had brought in close to $1,700 in ticket sales, which will go towards funding local events and offsetting costs of the annual music trip come next school year.
All in all, this was a good year for the music program. Interest grew in the freshman and sophomore classes, the Chamber Chorus earned the amazing opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall with famed composer Eric Whitacre, and the Chorus, Concert Band, and Jazz Band were all successful in their respective competitions.

To end the year off, the GD Music Honors Society will be hosting a final Open Mic Night on Friday, June 8th at 6 PM in the High School Black Box. All are welcome and we hope to see you there!
