Global Tweets #glbltwts

I have to admit, I was a bit nervous this morning as we prepared to kick off our Global Tweets Twitter Chat.  That said, the Global Classroom Connections Committee first ever Twitter Chat as part of the first ever Global Collaboration Day event was a great success.  We were excited to participate in this event and had a lot of fun connecting with others!  View our questions and getting started with Twitter chats document here.  You can also view our TwitterChat using this Storify link.
According to Global Education Conference Network, earlier in the week over 186 schools and organizations from 34 different countries had signed up for the 80 events listed for the event!    GECN goal is to connect educators and organizations across the globe.  GECN is hosting their sixth annual global conference this November from Monday, November 16 through Thursday, November 19, 2015.  See GECN’s 10 Ways to Connect Globally or view the upcoming GECN events here.  Note: All conference sessions are free and although registration is not required, as a courtesy, GECN asks that you register.
Interested in participating in another G-D sponsored Twitter Chat ?  Join the Global Math Task Twitter Challenge with Jocelyn Smyth.  This event kicks off on September 21st.
A big thank you to Jeannie Erickson, Jocelyn Smyth, Cheney Harper, Nicole Penchansky, Heather Salemme, Julie Spang and Audra Kaplan.
