Floating in the sunset

The artwork I created shows a variety of colors such as blues, pinks, purples, green, grey, black, and different shades of red. The background of my artwork spirals with colors into the centerpiece of the flower. I used different thicknesses of the lines to show shadows and depth.
I created my artwork by using the techniques wet to dry and paper towels. I used a paper towel to blend the colors of my background. I used wet and dry to make specific lines and textures.
I felt inspired by something to create my artwork. I mated the background to show a shining light on the masterpiece. I was also inspired by how peaceful the botanical garden was. I took the picture myself which made it even more special to me.
I think the goal made my artwork more intricate and thought through. The picture I took also helped me see how the flower was in nature to help me better fit the look.
While creating my artwork I learned that I can’t put too much on one piece of work. I wish I had blended the background more so it was less striking. I also wish that I did not include the leaf because it takes away attention from the flower and makes it look bad.
